Christmas 2022
Amazing how quickly
Christmas rolls around!
Not so for the young ones—
Long patience abounds!
Looking for Santa—
Excitement filled air,
They cannot wait
For Santa to share!
Today my excitement
Is hearing from friends.
Time with our loved ones
And cards that they send.
Still, I’m amazed
Year 22’s gone.
Seems like yesterday
We heard it’s first gong!
22 had high points
And, also its low.
Grandkids grow older—
That’s how it goes!
Julia, the oldest,
Lives in OKC.
Delightfully does well—
Seems happy as can be!
Gina’s a Senior
Lipscomb’s the School
Bible, Elementary Ed.
Quality, That’s Cool!
Traveled to D.C.
So proud of Em.
High School graduate—James caught it on film.
Jayne’s girls are maturing.
Penny has a job.
Both are talented.
With skills by the glob!
Kaylee’s new teacher–
She calls her Mom!
A delightful time!
Just listen to her song!
But back to the old folks—
Such fun these days!
Visits to the Dr.
Keeps our life in sway!
Lynn’s prostrate treatment
Radiation went well!
Next year’s the time
That story will tell.
Here in December
We both got the flu.
Quickly turned to Covid
So, what can we do?
Spent time at Branson—
Hiked, slept and read.
Enjoyed down time.
Also, well fed!
A week in CA
Visiting our friends.
Spoiled by the Fosters—
The BEST without end!
Steven and Melissa
Bring joy to our home.
Watching over us
With love we’re shown.
Michener’s are busy—
Two teenagers involved
Ballet, violin
And work schedule solved.
Cheryl is happy—
Now sports INSPIRE.
Sleep now is better
When she retires!
James and family
Stay so involved!
Story of Redemption
Is where they feel called.
James got an award—
Distinguished alumni of the year.
He’s so deserving
Of that it is clear!
We’re so very proud
Of each of our kids!
God has so blessed them—
So proud that He did!
We count our blessings
At the end of this year
To have good friends
We count you so dear.
May God bless and keep you–
We cherish you so.
