Old Age Must Rely On Memories

view From the Front Porch Porch

There are some good things about old age. There are some sad things about old age.  As you get older you see your mother, father, brothers and sisters age. Then, the door of eternity opens for many. Your best friends are no longer with you on this earth.   No longer will we be able to work and share. The joy must come from selecting from the halls of memory those good times and meaningful conversations and appreciating the time God granted us to share together.  The lesson is “seize the day” to remember it is family and friends that are important in life.  Not the job, professional achievements, nor even the “church projects”, and certainly not the things. It is God, family and friends–especially spouse.
