Poem: The Door

view From the Front Porch Porch

The Door

Headed toward the door—

Can’t tell if far or near.

All of us will enter.

That’s a fact that is clear!

Ready for the journey?

Really, there’s no choice.

Prepare to meet your maker.—

Sad or to rejoice.

Is your journey planned?

Eternity never ends.

Life on earth is fleeting—

Sin can never win!

Our savior came to save us!

Jesus paid our fee.

Decide while you’re able.

God can hear your pleas.

Pray for one another.

God listens to our prayers.

Time is of the essence.

You’ll meet Jesus there!

Heaven’s full of beauty

Where only goodness dwells.

Make your plans to be there.

The alternative isn’t swell!
