Poems: Behold

view From the Front Porch Porch

BEHOLD

Behold, dear children,

I’m sure you all know,

You are a sparkle

Much brighter than gold.

Each one of you dwells

Deep in my hearts.

Little you came,

Grew up to depart.

You bring the children—

The ones called, GRAND!

How happy I am—

They’re BEST in the land!!!

How often I long

To be with our gang.

Relook at the childhood—

You’re young once again.

Indian Princess and guide—

Mr. “Big Foot”, James.

Our budding young artist,

Jayne’s pathway to fame.

Again, it’s Mother’s Day.

Your presence’s supreme.

For you and your Dad

Have made me feel “Queen”.

God blessed me richly

When he gave four of you.

My quiver was full—

That’s happiness, true!

Equally impressive—

Your quality mates.

Our family has doubled.

Now isn’t that GREAT?

New children by marriage.

A cool  family!

Brings interest and talents

With great quality!

Now let me tell you,

As if you can’t guess,

You’ve made my day

One of the BEST!

With all of us here

Under one roof,

My heart is lifted.

My bell’s been shook!

Family, you’re special!

I do love you so.

You are so precious—

My homespun GOLD!
