Poems: Once

view From the Front Porch Porch

ONCE

The house was fuller

And busier then.

Having four active

Kids within

With so little time

To sit and spin,

Knowing the tasks

Were multiplying.

The years have come.

The years have gone.

Those precious kids

Now all are grown.

Yet their spirits

Still echo and roam.

Smiling broadly,

Now we’re home.
