Short Nored Family History in Rhyme

NORED HISTORY

I once met a guy

Who was EAGER—It’s true!

We met at church—

A FINE Howdy do!

Discussion compelling—

We like to spar.

Church time arrived—

He wasn’t that far!

A whirlwind romance

With much in common.

Saw eye to eye—

Now, that is uncommon!

Lynn filled my days

And warmed up my heart!

We then took the promise

NEVER to part!

Finished at TECH

Then Phoenix was viewed.

Lynn worked at Sperry—

Learned lots, that is true!

Cheryl’s born in Phoenix—

Welcomed with joy!

We were a FAMILY!

With love we rejoiced!

Parents were older—

We came home to stay.

Enjoyed a few years

With parents that way!

Richardson to Murphey

Then out to the place.

We loved the country—

It showed on our face!

Our family, complete—

Two boys and two girls!

Life can be busy—

We went in a whirl!

Kids activities—

Lynn Elder at church.

There was no time—

We juggled and worked!

Granddad departed—

Lynn’s Grandmother came—

Snug in her trailer—

We enjoyed her stay!

Pa loved the place!

His words rang so true.

Rest for five minutes,

Then, back to “MUST DO!”

The house and the land

Demands lots of time.

Yet, it is good—

Our health is just fine!

Lynn’s itching fingers—

Sought so much more!

Off to O.C.

Engineering explored.

Spent sixteen years

In Oklahoma land.

I taught the wee ones—

Lynn’s teaching expands!

Friends for a lifetime—

We did L.S.T.

Memories persist,

I say so with glee!

Life has been full

With land to maintain.

Rejoice with us friends—

Steven and Melissa came!

Extends our time

We’ll be able to stay

Close to the land

And enjoy them each day!

Lynn is so Faithful—

His love’s always there!

I am SO blessed!

God showed me He cared!

My prayer was answered—

“God, help me to find

Someone to serve better”

Lynn answered in time!

With much in common,
Both loved the Lord.

Lynn’s been a ROCK!

God’s blessings Implored!

So many years later

I still am impressed—

Lynn was persistent

And I am so blessed!

Know that our love

Grows more with the years.

Soon to be sixty—

So, let’s hear a cheer!

Through rising children,

Joy knocked on our door!

Seven grandkids later—

Happiness soars!

We’re proud of our crew—

They all love the LORD.

Take time to give thanks

To the God we adore!

Poem: Shame

Shame Shame on you, America. You should hang your face. Your morals are atrocious And your actions a disgrace!   Where are all our heroes,
